BARNSLEY trio Martin Devaney, Miguel Mostto and Mounir El Haimour are back in the squad for tomorrow's game at Preston after shaking off injuries.
But manager Simon Davey was waiting to assess the fitness of Jamal Campbell-Ryce, who was due to rejoin the squad today after playing for Jamaica on Wednesday night in Kingston.
Although winger Campbell-Ryce featured throughout that match, he is expected to be fresh enough to start at Deepdale.
Devaney looks likely to resume on the opposite flank with El Haimour a probable sub. Davey has to choose between Mostto and Kayode Odejayi as a strike partner for Jon Macken while Iain Hume continues his recovery.
Odejayi started against Watford last week but it was Mostto who got a crucial goal off the bench.
The former Peruvian international was given compassionate leave last month to be at the bedside of his sick son.
"I was very happy to get a goal here last weekend. It felt as though everything I had worked for during the last 18-months had come together," he said. "I had a tough time back with my kids earlier this season in Peru so it was nice to get back into the team and get a goal."
Davey added: "He has come back and impressed me. To get a goal was great for him."
Preston go into tomorrow's game on the back of a 3-1 win at local rivals Blackpool.
But their last home game brought a 3-2 defeat by Southampton and some supporters turned on keeper Andy Lonergan.
"I've been getting a lot of stick and, in my eyes, it's not called for," he said. "We've been losing, but to say I've lost us the games is beyond me, and results like beating Blackpool can give you great relief and a chance to say 'I'm not a bad goalkeeper'."
Barnsley probable: Muller, Hassell, Foster, Souza, Kozluk, Campbell-Ryce, Colace, Leon, Devaney, Macken, Odejayi, Mostto, El Haimour, van Homoet, Rigters, Steele.
