Izzy Brown says that he’d definitely be open to joining Sheffield Wednesday on a permanent basis next season, but the Chelsea loanee insists that he’s just focused on performing right now.

Brown joined the Owls on loan from the Blues at the start of the season, being snapped up by Garry Monk as the former Wednesday boss sought to build a squad capable of overturning their points deficit and staying up.

The 23-year-old started well at Hillsborough, enjoying a strong opening to life in Sheffield, but then an injury and the firing of Monk set him back a few paces. Now, after a difficult spell under Tony Pulis, Brown is eager to get himself back into the mix under the tutelage of Neil Thompson.
