Can I please ask what our country's coming to? If not the country, then just the FA.
It seems the greediness of the south has finally been taken out on the entire nation.

As a proud England supporter, like millions of other people, please give me a valid reason as to why Setanta have decided to charge us for watching England's ma
tches?

Whether it be qualifying, friendlies or tournaments it seems a group of suits somewhere have decided to milk out what they can from us. Why should I pay to watch my home teams matches?

When I rang the FA to ask them about it they explained that ''atleast the highlights are on Sky after''. Well that's brilliant isn't it. I'll invite all my friends over for a drink after a hard days work so we can have a laugh and all chill out and watch 30 seconds of highlights together on ITV1. That would be a good night in! And can I point out that not even everybody has Sky anyway! Why can't they be played on BBC1 where even tramps on the street can watch through Dixon windows?

Oh but the FA won't be having that will they? They'll sit in their castle counting there 'earnings', all the while we'll have to wait till the day after to find out the results in the paper. Is this really what England's turning into? Can we not watch a match with family or friends anymore. To the FA even free time costs something.

I'd like to remain anonymous.
