Carillion Developments has completed the second phase of its £80 million Castlegate development, known as The Square.
The latest phase adds another 42,000 sq ft of office accommodation, on six floors to the development, which already offered 43,000 sq ft of office space, which includes South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive as a tenant, a 114 bed Travelodge and 400 space car park.

Carillion Developments' development director, Neil McMillan, describes The Square as "a striking addition to the approach to the city," whose early success in achieving high profile occupiers had proved Carillion's confidence in the potential for revitalising the Castlegate area was justified. Adam Hodgson, associate director of Jones Lang LaSalle, joint agents for the office space with Crossland Otter Hunt, added:

"The Square's positioning, at the gateway to the city centre, makes it an ideal location for any organisation needing to be well connected to motorway and transport links."
