South Yorkshire Police have started enforcing the government’s new lockdown rules in Sheffield.

New laws mean officers now have powers to fine and even arrest people ignoring the government's advice to stay at home and avoid non-essential travel.

On Friday, police launched their Educational Road Checkpoints across South Yorkshire.
